The University of California Irvine (UC Irvine) along with Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and Miller Children's and Women's Hospital in Long Beach (MCH) have come together to create a world-class pediatrics program that embodies the University's guiding philosophy — Discover. Teach. Heal.

We are thrilled that you are exploring our program as we take much pride in our residents, our faculty, and the wide opportunities provided by our multi-site affiliation. We offer a unique training experience with leading-edge research, innovative teaching programs, and comprehensive and compassionate patient care. We are the only pediatrics residency training program in Orange County and one of a handful of programs in the nation with access to two free-standing children's hospitals.

We have a holistic approach to our recruitment process, actively aiming to recruit a diverse cohort of residents to serve our multicultural community spanning across Los Angeles and Orange counties. We hope you will join us for our Diversity in Medicine Residency Open House, hosted annually, to learn more about our diversity initiatives and meet our residents and program leadership.

In short, we offer you a unique University of California-based program with unparalleled access to two outstanding children’s hospitals in an inquisitive and supportive atmosphere that we believe helps create the finest pediatricians. Last, but not least, we are located in the beautiful OC with beaches, mountains, and a myriad of cultural activities (not to mention Disneyland), readily accessible for your enjoyment and well-being.

We invite you to apply to our program and see how the next three years can be the most rewarding of your career, professionally, as well as personally.

We look forward to meeting you!
