Work-Life Philosophy

Our program believes in the importance of training outstanding pediatric residents, while supporting a balanced life outside of work. Luckily, living in Southern California affords many such opportunities!

BEACH DAY: Cool off in the Pacific at one of our many local beaches (dog-friendly ones in variable locations as well!)

DISNEY FANATICS: Just 15 minutes away from CHOC, you can easily plan a get-away to Downtown Disney, Disneyland, and Disney's California Adventure. And as a SoCal resident, you can also take advantage of an annual pass! 

SELF-DISCOVERY: Find some new hobbies, like body boarding, painting, running for a good cause, or exploring one of the many local hiking trails (just to name a few!)

GAME DAY VIBES: Catch the Angels or hop on over to the Honda Center for a live event.

FOODIE HEAVEN: Enjoy local eats and breweries, with a diverse selection reflecting the mix of cultures within the area.

All while making friendships that will carry you through and beyond residency!
