Division of Neonatal / Perinatal Medicine

The Division of Neonatal Medicine is committed to the delivery of exemplary clinical care, to advancing research and to training future healthcare professionals.

The division provides coordinated multispecialty care of the high-risk newborn. The sickest infants include extremely premature newborns weighing approximately 16 ounces or less at birth, infants with complex congenital heart disease and infants with serious congenital malformations. The division is active in research and hosts a neonatology fellowship.

Faculty members in the division provide clinical services at UC Irvine Health and CHOC Children’s Hospital.
